James has had the opportunity to contribute as a speaker at several tech conferences, including MCT/MVP West Africa Summit, DevFest, Digital DNA Glasgow, DDD North UK, M365 Manchester Summit, and more, as well as acting as a judge at Africa’s largest hackathon—the A2SV AI for Impact Hackathon, which brought together over 1,100 teams and nearly 5,000 participants from across the continent in 2024.
As an Engineering Lead at Youverify, one of Africa’s leading verification companies, James played a pivotal role in developing the company’s flagship product, contributing to over $2.5M in revenue generation.
He was also a significant contributor to Fairdrive, a multi-award-winning decentralized storage solution in the blockchain industry. At Speechmatics, a UK-based company renowned for its highly accurate transcription model surpassing competitors like Google, Amazon, and Microsoft, James focused on enhancing product adoption among developers.
