Israel Iyonsi is a Software Engineer at Altexsoft, a global technology consulting firm specializing in software engineering, data science, and product development. He is currently pursuing an MSc in Computer Science at the University of East London, combining academic rigor with hands-on industry expertise to build transformative, future-ready software solutions.
Israel’s journey into technology began in 2010 when, as a curious teenager in Nigeria, he discovered an HTML tutorial on YouTube. What started as a simple experiment quickly evolved into a lifelong passion for programming. From building pet projects to engineering enterprise-grade systems, he has grown into a results-driven technologist working on high-impact platforms across banking, fintech, and global digital ecosystems.
At Altexsoft, Israel contributes to large-scale consulting projects, enhancing and modernizing existing systems through the integration of Artificial Intelligence and cloud technologies. His focus is on making enterprise and financial systems smarter, more efficient, and AI-enabled for the future.
Previously, at Hydrogen, he played a key role in the design and implementation of a settlement platform that has processed over $1 billion in transactions. At Zenith Bank, he worked on the Domestic Transfer Application, integrating NIBSS NIP, NAPS, and NEFT systems—supporting billions of naira in financial transfers.
During his time at United Bank for Africa (UBA), Israel contributed to the development of Message Screening and Party Screening components within the Actimize Anti-Money Laundering system, strengthening transaction risk assessment and regulatory compliance. At Kindred Group, he maintained and expanded affiliate integrations across multiple international brands, contributing to revenue generation exceeding £2 million.
